I’m honestly a little tired of the constant AI photography debate and the hoopla surrounding the recent CSAM court ruling.
I understand why people have questions, but I also think it’s important to keep things in perspective.
*I don’t use AI with my clients’ images and I never have.* My photography is my craft, my business, and my livelihood. I’m not planning to change that because of this ruling.
I also don’t think every conversation about AI needs to become a reason for photographers to stop using technology altogether. There are still children’s faces shown on television, in advertisements, magazines, and so forth. Parents make those decisions every day.
That doesn’t mean privacy and consent don’t matter. They absolutely do. But I think we can have those conversations without making people feel like they need to be afraid for their lives.
For me, I’m going to keep creating, keep learning, and keep doing what I love.
