💍 Lana + Griffin | Engagement Sneak Peek

Eight years ago, Lana was in front of my camera for her senior pictures. Last year, I had the chance to photograph her brother for his senior session. And now… I get to photograph Lana again—this time with her fiancé, Griffin. ❤️

These two met while in pharmacy school, and now they’re getting ready to start a whole new chapter together. 💍

Their session was full of laughter, sweet little moments, and that comfortable kind of connection that makes my job incredibly easy. And can we talk about that RING shot?! 😍

One of the things I love most about doing photography for so many years is getting to watch families grow and being invited back to document the next chapter. From senior pictures… to engagement pictures. That’s pretty darn special. ❤️

Somewhere between childhood and what comes next. 🤍

Senior year is such a unique season — one foot still in the life you’ve always known, and the other stepping toward something completely new.

Next year, she’ll be heading off to UK and beginning a whole new chapter. 💙 But I absolutely loved that she brought her childhood teddy bear along for part of her senior session. 🧸

There’s something pretty special about photographing the girl she is today while holding onto just a little piece of the girl she used to be.

From childhood memories to college dreams… this is exactly why I love senior photography. These sessions aren’t just about pretty pictures. They’re about capturing who you are right now, before everything changes.

And can we talk about how gorgeous this entire session was?! 😍

Senior sneak peek! 💙✨

I had the fun opportunity to photograph twins on back-to-back days — and I absolutely loved getting to create two sessions that were completely their own.

First up, twin #1! 🎓

Her session was bright, natural and full of personality — from wildflowers and the creek to finishing up on the track. We incorporated pieces of who she is right now while still capturing those classic senior portraits her family will treasure.

And just wait until you see her twin brother’s session….completely different vibe, completely different locations, and completely him.

Because even when you’re twins, your senior pictures should tell your own story. ❤️

And now for twin #2! 🎓

After photographing his twin sister it was his turn — and I love how completely different their senior sessions turned out.

For his session, we went with more of an urban NuLu vibe — brick, alleys, murals and some really cool textures that fit his relaxed style and personality perfectly.

Same family. Same graduating year. Two completely different personalities — and two senior sessions designed to reflect exactly that.

Because senior pictures shouldn’t look like everyone else’s. They should look like YOU.

Okay… maybe it was a little bit of a problem. But you would never know it looking at these!

This beautiful senior handled the Kentucky heat like an absolute champ, and I love how her session turned out. 🤎

Senior year is such an exciting in-between season — celebrating who you are right now while looking ahead to everything that’s coming next. That’s exactly what I want senior portraits to capture.

Parents…we need to talk. 😂

“Don’t mess up your clothes!”
“You better cooperate!”

Sound familiar? 😆

Family photos don’t need to start with everyone feeling stressed before we even take the first picture.

My advice? Tell the kids you’re going to have some fun, then let ME worry about the rest. Let them move, laugh, be silly and be themselves. Some of my favorite images happen in those imperfect little moments anyway. ❤️

Your job is to enjoy your family. My job is to capture it. 📸

Fall vibes… in a 102° heat index. 🍂☀️😂

When Mom has a vision for the walls of her new home, you make it happen — even if Kentucky decides to turn the thermostat ALL the way up.

She wanted warm fall colors, family together, and photos that felt like them. So we sweated it out (literally 😅), laughed a LOT, and created some pretty special memories along the way.

And honestly? You’d never know from these smiles just how HOT it was!

This is why I love family sessions. It’s not just about getting everyone together for a photo — it’s about capturing the relationships, the personalities, the laughter, and this particular season of life.

Now Mom has some beautiful new artwork for those new walls. ❤️

If you have senior pictures coming up and you’re thinking, “I have absolutely no idea what I’m supposed to do in front of a camera,” I want you to know—you are definitely not alone!!!

Probably one of the biggest things I hear before a senior session is, “I’m awkward in pictures,” or “I don’t know how to pose,” or my personal favorite… “I don’t know what to do with my hands.” 😂

Here’s the good news: you’re not supposed to know. That’s my job.

I’m going to tell you where to stand, where to look, what to do with your hands, when to move—and yes, I’ll even tell you when your hair needs fixing or something looks weird.

And we’re not going to spend the whole session standing perfectly still, smiling at the camera.

We’ll walk. We’ll move around. We’ll talk. We’ll laugh. And somewhere along the way, you’ll probably forget that you’re supposed to be nervous.

Because my goal isn’t to make you look like somebody else or force you into poses that don’t feel like you.

I want your senior pictures to actually look and feel like YOU.

So if you’re worried that you’re awkward, you don’t know how to pose, or you’ve never had professional pictures taken before—don’t worry.

You just show up.

I’ll take care of the rest.
