Athena

I had the privilege of meeting Athena last weekend. Her family reached out for a Forget Me Not session before they help her cross the Rainbow Bridge. She’s a sweet girl and has been with her mom, Halie, since she was a puppy. It’s hard to let go of our pets and I think these sessions are a wonderful way to celebrate their life and honor their devotion to your family.

I do these sessions on a “pay what you can” scale because I firmly believe everyone deserves photos of their cherished pet and money shouldn’t get in the way of that.

Can you tell I love spring flowers? I love the transition of the seasons. Winter to spring feels like you’re waking up from a long winters nap and I always feel rejuvenated and ready for the year ahead.

These flowers by last spring were stunning and a celebration of the season.

Most of the time your favorite images will be the candid shots. These two pictures are some of my favorites from a workshop last summer. This little one was so full of energy she literally couldn’t stand still. She kept running towards my camera so I kept taking her picture. Add in golden hour and magic happens. These pictures captured her personality perfectly.

Finally getting around to posting some of the photos from workshop back in July. I was lucky enough to win her giveaway for a spot in this class. She’s an amazing photographer - if you don’t follow her, here’s your sign to change that.

I loved this studio space - it was a rainy day but we still managed to capture some of the natural light coming through the front windows.

Fun fact: I’m also a freelance floral designer so anytime I get to photograph flowers I’m all over that!
