As I was editing this gallery I kept smiling to myself because we really enjoyed our time during our session!

I thought about how the little one needed a few minutes in her parents' arms which was totally okay. I just continued telling silly jokes about cats and animal sounds and naturally the little one got more and more comfortable moving around!

We played games we ran around and I was happy to document so much family connection.

That's one of the reasons why I love lifestyle family photography because it's focused on connection and really capturing family in a natural way. I don't force kids to engage with me or look at me or smile if they aren't ready. When you see pictures of children smiling it's because they're really having fun!
