Hey guys, I haven’t posted much from the Adirondacks in a while, but I wanted to share a little bit from my past two weeks up there.

A big purpose of this trip was having the privilege of teaching photography for Northwood School students during their LEAP week. We spent the week traveling to different places around the Adirondacks, talking through how to see light, how to compose a scene, how to use the camera with intention, and how to look for both the big landscape and the smaller abstract details that are easy to miss.

It was honestly such a blessing to work with them. I loved seeing them get excited about being outside, exploring new places, and starting to notice the landscape in a different way. There is something really special about watching students walk into the wilderness with a camera and begin to see that photography is not just about taking a picture of something pretty, but about learning how to see.

I wanted to share a few photos from the week that stood out to me personally. Some are simple, some are quiet, but they all feel connected to what made this trip meaningful.

Quite the adventure yesterday. On my quest to ski all 46 High Peaks, I tackled Seymour #29/46. Incredible weather and classic winter conditions. Dust on crust throughout the day, with deep snow up high and variable conditions down low.

This is the only weekend I’ll have up here this winter. Since moving to Ohio in August, progress has slowed, but the goal is to finish next year. I also had not touched my skis since February of last year, and this climb definitely kicked my butt.
This challenge has been extremely rewarding, and having learned to backcountry ski in the ADK was a blessing. Thanks to for joining the adventure. (PS I kept my camera in the backpack the whole time skiing down so I have no photo evidence of the descent but there will be a YouTube video of it soon!)

Fall in the ADK turns every drive into a detour worth taking.

Hey guys, it’s been a while.
I’m so incredibly proud of this one — my 2026 High Peaks Calendars are now available! These are very limited in quantity and they sell out every year before the holidays.

Creating this calendar is honestly one of my favorite things I do all year. It’s a celebration of the Adirondack High Peaks and a way for you to bring a piece of the mountains into your home. It’s also one of the best ways to support my work.
Hit the link in my bio to grab yours — or pick one up as a gift for that hiking friend.

And don’t miss this year’s lineup — swipe through to see all 12 images featured in the calendar!

After years of hiking thousands of miles and pouring my soul into the Adirondacks… I’m finally building the thing I always wished existed. The Adirondacks have never had one true, all-in-one place where hikers can go to feel informed, connected, and prepared.

That changes now. adk is almost here.

I’ve spent months building something I’ve dreamed of for years—a free, community-focused platform. It’s not just another project. This is everything I’ve got.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be unveiling a brand new space for Adirondack hikers. (and quite possibly the biggest giveaway you could imagine)

But more than anything, this is a movement—something I hope sends shockwaves through the Adirondack community. Not here and gone. Not a flash in the pan. This is just the beginning.

Stay tuned.

3:30 AM on top of Whiteface Mountain, under a sky that felt unreal. No wind, comfortable temperatures…it was like standing on my back porch, except the view was the entire universe.

Photographing this morning’s lunar eclipse was one of the most surreal experiences I’ve had in the High Peaks. The stillness, the clarity, and the way the moon hung in the sky made every moment feel suspended in time.

Editing this image was more challenge than the climb or even being up at this hour. The dynamic range, the lighting, the compositing. It all had to come together to make sure every detail looked as magical as it felt in person. This was a complicated process, but this is my best effort to do justice to the moment.

For those who got out to witness it, I hope it was just as incredible for you.

In the winter of 2019–2020, I spent three unforgettable months capturing all 46 Adirondack High Peaks at their most raw, rugged, and beautiful state. In 2021, these photographs became “The Winter 46”—a one-of-a-kind touring gallery show celebrating our incredible mountains. Today, I’m excited to announce that the remaining original gallery pieces are finally available for you to take home.

Each image is unique, and once they’re gone, they’re gone forever. Explore the full collection at the link in my bio, and own a special piece of Adirondack history.
