Thereā€™s a little something I love about social media that I donā€™t think gets talked about enough.

Every now and then, an anniversary post from one of my past couples will pop up on my timeline, and for a moment Iā€™m right back there.

I remember the way the day felt.
The way they looked at each other.
The people who surrounded them.
The little moments that probably felt insignificant at the time but became some of my favorite photographs.

And then I realizeā€¦ that was years ago. šŸ„¹

Their wedding day has become an anniversary, a growing family, a new chapter - and somehow I get the privilege of having photographs that let me revisit a tiny piece of where it all began.

Thatā€™s one of the things I love most about being a wedding photographer.

I donā€™t just get to photograph a wedding day. I get to create something that can take you back to it years later.

So to all of my past couples celebrating an anniversary this year: thank you for letting me be there. And thank you for occasionally reminding me that these photographs really do live on long after the wedding day is over. šŸ¤

Happy anniversary to all of my CBLY couples. Your love stories will always be some of my favorite ones to revisit.
