I swear families like this are why I love what I do so much.

They showed up and immediately just… played with their kids. No stressing about everyone looking at the camera. No worrying about wet clothes or messy hair. No trying to make their kids stand perfectly still and smile. They got in the water, splashed each other, chased them around, picked them up, loved on them and let their boys be exactly who they are.

And as a photographer, THIS IS THE DREAM.

But one of my favorite parts of this session was honestly just watching them be parents. You could tell how loved these little boys are. Mom and Dad were both so patient, playful and completely present with them, and the boys absolutely lit up around them.

Of course we got the pretty family photos but then we got the ones I love even more. Bare feet in Lake McDonald. Water fights with Dad. Brothers squeezing each other. Little hands holding onto Mom. Belly laughs. Soaked pants. Absolute chaos.

The kind of photos that don’t just show what your family looked like in this season… they remind you what it felt like.

Give me a family willing to get a little wet, let the kids play and completely forget I’m standing there with a camera ANY DAY. 🤍

Congratulations C & M 💍

I have to give the guys who PLAN the proposal their credit because this man understood the assignment.

He reached out ahead of time, had a plan, asked questions, worked through all the little details with me and genuinely cared about making sure this was special for HER. Not just “where should I stand and when do I get on one knee?” he wanted the whole thing to feel right.

We talked through location, timing, where they would walk in, where I would be hiding, how to get her into the exact spot without making her suspicious… all of it. planning one of the biggest moments of their lives is one of my favorite parts of photographing proposals.

Because meanwhile she’s just showing up thinking she’s having a normal day with her boyfriend, and there’s an entire operation happening behind the scenes.

And then THIS was the result.

The nerves, the moment she realized what was happening, the YES, and then getting to photograph them afterward when the adrenaline finally started wearing off. He absolutely went all out to make this something she would remember forever, and getting to secretly be a tiny part of plans like this will never get old.

Guys… plan the proposal. Put thought into it. Make it hers. Go all out. I promise, it shows. 🤍

A little secret in the mountains. 🤍

Just the two of them, their vows, and the tiniest little third person already along for the adventure.

They slipped away to Sun Point in Glacier National Park for an intimate vow exchange before their baby arrives no big production, no crowd, just a quiet moment to choose each other before stepping into their next chapter as a family.

There’s something I love so much about photographing days like this. The wind, the mountains, the weather doing whatever it wants, and two people standing in the middle of all of it promising forever.

This one was a little bittersweet for me too, because it was my last Glacier elopement alongside Bespoke Ceremony before she moved. 🤍

The sweetest secret. The biggest mountains. And a brand new chapter already on its way.

There are some people who just make the world feel a little softer. Claire is one of those people.

She’s the kind of mom who somehow gives her whole heart to her boys while still finding the time to cheer everyone else on. She is kind, genuine, supportive, and just one of those people you feel lucky to know.

Igetting the chance to photograph her with her boys felt really special to me. And watching her with them made it so obvious just how loved they are.

These boys are so lucky to have a mama who loves them the way she does. 🤍
