Driving home from a wedding late the night before meant running in pure adrenaline (and strong coffee), but missing this Lake McDonald sunrise was not an option. When you only have one shot to capture a moment that changes a couples life forever, you do whatever it takes.

Honestly, the locals here have terrible wedding etiquette—no gifts, they always underdress, and they never stop eating during the ceremony. But you really can’t beat those views.

Last night in Many Glacier was an absolute dream. Also, I’m pretty blown away by the sheer volume of insanely intelligent couples I’ve gotten to know already this season. I got to spend the evening with these two incredible wildlife biologists, learning all about birds while sitting in a field surrounded by snipes.

Also, official 2026 wedding season bear count is at four already!

Yesterday was incredible. Brigit and Will came all the way to her parents beautiful property to vow that they will always love cats more than dogs and (of course) to love each other forever.

Every detail of this day just spoke to two people who live with passion and intention, and who are obviously in the right line of work! Can you guess what that might be? Slide 6 is a good clue…

I don’t think I’ve said this nearly enough lately- I love my job. I just get to meet the most incredible people and spend wild wind-swept evenings with them learning about the schlieren effect and walking paths in Portugal and seeing a really absurd amount of wildlife. Well I’ve been looking forward to this one for over a year now, and it absolutely lived up to my excitement. I had the joy of meeting Sabrina and Jacob (who trusted me enough to start their engagement photos at a rest stop in the middle of nowhere) a little over a year ago, and getting to meet their families and friends yesterday was exactly what I expected. They are surrounded by so much love and care, it was a joy to witness!

Personal fave quote from the day was from our beautiful bride to everyone present during her vows, “would you look at those mountains?! For f**** sake.” Honestly I couldn’t have said it better myself.
