In case you’re new here, I founded a nonprofit with my mom called in honor of my brother Bobby and so many others whose lives were cut short by drunk driving. Bar Fairies has grown so much in the last year that I’ve barely caught my breath.

I took a hiatus from photography when my brother died. I just couldn’t manage freelancing and grieving simultaneously. I got a marketing job in an office, decided to work a normal schedule like a normal adult for the first time in my life, and it was a fantastic learning experience. I tried to juggle all of it at once (turns out, impossible). About a month ago I decided to quit the office job and pour all of my energy back into the things I care most about — Montana Bar Fairies and freelance photography. I was really excited to be briefly unemployed, but it has worked out to be incredibly busy despite not working from a traditional desk.

Thus, it was time to take a little break, and I am now autumn camping in the middle of nowhere for a few days while the world keeps spinning. Thank goodness for scheduled posts. ❤️

Towering cedars and jagged peaks make for a pretty unforgettable arch, IMO.

I am so hopeful that next summer will be filled with moments like this. ❤️ I am still booking 2026 and have availability for micro weddings, adventure sessions, traditional weddings, and more. In a perfect world I would LOVE to photograph some untraditional, intimate & unusual ones too. Hailie & Brandon tied the knot in the sweetest backyard wedding (my favorite venue 😉). Hailie wore her mother’s wedding dress, made even more special with a loop and fabric sewn from her late grandmother’s silk pajamas. No shortage of love, family, and meaning in every detail.
