Not only in your teary eyed glances, but in the quieter, less noticed parts of the day.

How the shadows fall across your ceremony space, the birds floating above, the trees swaying in the wind, their leaves lightly rustling in the breeze.

Honest parts of the day that aren’t waiting to be noticed or captured, but are instead there to complete your story and bring you back time and time again.

Believe it or not, I met John AND Georgia because they used to work at a restaurant Dillon and I frequent here in Jacksonville.

We would go out for dinner dates or just casual happy hour drinks after work, and one rainy summer evening we met John.

& on a completely separate occasion, we met Georgia (and we had zero clue they were dating)

Who would’ve thought that a few years later, we’d be running along the seaside together taking their engagement photos 🥹

November can’t get here fast enough!!!

I actually lost count of the amount of times I cried at this wedding. The vows, the speeches, Brooke sharing an emotional first look with her dad, I could go on. My viewfinder definitely got blurry there a time or two (or five–again, I lost count).

So grateful to be a part of this insanely joyous day for Brooke, Alex, and their loved ones (especially those who couldn’t physically be there).

Getting to document such intimate, precious moments for not only them, but for the people that love them, puts this privilege of a job into perspective. What a joy and honor it is to capture so much love. 🥹

take this as your sign to neverrrr settle for photos that don’t align with your vision.

it was clear from the start that G&J’s dream engagement photos included a beachy, sun-drenched, blue sky paradise.

of course, the first few times didn’t go as planned. cloudy skies, a chance for rain, and an atmosphere that didn’t quite fit the experience they were hoping for.

so we pivoted, and rescheduled (twice!) until we landed upon the most beautiful morning on the coast.

supporting you means being in it with you, adjusting, guiding, and holding onto the bigger picture when things feel uncertain.

and oh my, was the wait worth it. 🤍🌊

I often hear brides say that they don’t remember certain pieces of their day because it just went by so fast.

This is why I always recommend factoring in a little extra time after you’re done getting ready for a few bridal portraits.

Picture this: your hair and makeup is done. You’re in a cute lil getup that you spent the morning in with your favorite people. You’re looking amazing, and you’re feeling a a twinge of nervous excitement.

and once you’re in your dress, it hits you. You’re about to marry your best friend. This part of the day is filled with so many heightened emotions that will rush over you instantly when finally get to see your entire gallery.

I promise, you won’t regret taking the extra ten minutes.

this day truly couldn’t have gone any better. it was so so perfect and filled with so much joy, laughter, and love. truly a dream come true. 🥹

not to mention how crazy lucky we got with the Azaleas that apparently only bloom two weeks out of the year?? 🌸
