June through September in Jackson Hole ☀️

The light comes in low and gold and the mountains glow.

This is the time. Four months out of the year when the conditions are right for glowy family portraits.

I don’t shoot in studios. I don’t use artificial light. Everything is natural and real. It’s all about being in the right place at the right time.

That’s why I only take a small number of sessions each summer. Every session is planned around the best light of the day, in a location I’ve chosen for your family specifically.

On mother’s day my 4 year old asked me “What is mother’s day?”

I said it’s a day to celebrate being your mother.

She took a moment to think and then asked “So it’s a day for just me being with you?”

“Yes, exactly!” I said 🥹

As a Jackson Home family photographer (and a mother) I believe art and photography is very personal and these moments go by too quickly not to document.

Mothers are the heart of our family. The ones who comfort us when we’re sad and make us feel unconditionally loved.

That is why during each family session I make time and space for that love to be captured.

Great family photos shouldn’t be about the perfect pose or ‘performing’.

The photos that last a lifetime are the ones that remind us how it felt just being together.

When we stop performing and let our kids just be themselves that’s when the magic happens.

As a family photographer in Jackson Hole, I always tell my clients to focus on the adventure and time together in such a breathtaking place.
