I really hate that I even feel like I have to make this change, but the world we live in lately feels like gasoline poured on matches. ❤️🩹
With AI changing so fast, the recent Seventh Circuit ruling affecting Indiana, and the amount of spam accounts I see every single day, effective immediately I will no longer post straight-on, fully recognizable faces of little ones publicly. They may be blurred or simply not shared on my public page
Motherhood is such a huge part of what I photograph, so this change is really hard for me. So many of the stories I love telling are mamas + their babies, and knowing I have to be more careful with what I share publicly honestly sucks.
Parents will still receive their FULL galleries like always. I’ll still share the details, side profiles, silhouettes, little hands, backs of heads + all the little pieces that tell the story without sharing fully recognizable faces of little ones to build and ad to my portfolio.
I also want to make it clear that I have ALWAYS asked for permission before posting someone’s child. That part is not new + will never change.
And yes, this includes my own babies too. I hate not sharing my beautiful babes because they’re such a huge part of me + this page, but that’s okay. Their privacy matters more. 🤎
I also want to be clear — I do not AI generate you or your photos. I may use AI to remove something distracting from a background, but your images will always be real moments photographed + edited by me. I promise you’ll never end up with 9 fingers or 3 feet with me 😇😇
No portfolio or post is worth more than protecting these babies. 🤎📸
