Lately my 2 year old has been fascinated with shadows, so maybe that’s why this one immediately caught my eye.

At first glance, it looks like mom + dad swinging their little boy between them. But when you swipe, you realize they’re also carrying their twin babies in their arms.

A reminder that family photos are about so much more than smiling at the camera. It’s the little details, the season you’re living in + the moments you don’t realize you’ll want to remember forever.

the exhausted moms
the grieving moms missing a baby they wish was here
the women longing to become mothers
the stepmoms, adoptive moms + mother figures loving so deeply every single day…

If I’ve learned anything on my motherhood journey this far it’s women are unbelievably strong, nurturing, selfless + worthy of celebrating not just today, but every day.

Newborn photos taken at 2 weeks are beautiful. However, that is not the only option. If you need more time, we can capture your baby all the way up to 3 months old. There’s no rushing this season. Pictured is sweet Nora with her mom and dad 🤍

One of those moments that reminds me why I do this. In 2025, I was invited into a family’s home to photograph a home birth a sweet mama welcoming her second baby, supported by the most incredible nurse midwife team. Being trusted with something this intimate and life-changing is an honor beyond words. If this is something I get to do more of in 2026, my heart would be so full.🤍
