Fall is approaching!

Consider this your reminder to book your next family photo shoot! I am so excited to see you and your family again! The most rewarding thing in my life is seeing the same families year after year, and learning about what's going on in their lives.

I'm doing some traveling this Fall (going on tour in late September with my band Cast of Thousands, and also taking a Thanksgiving road trip to New Mexico). So my schedule will be a little bit tighter than normal! Book ASAP to make sure we can get your photos back in time for holiday cards, if you do that sort of thing.

Also, reminders that I love to do all kinds of other photography! Headshots are fun for me, especially if I get to photograph the whole team. If you need photos of your retail store or your products or your office, I'd love to do that as well! And in recent years I've fallen in love with preschool portraits. No school is too small for me (I've worked with home-based programs with four students). All that's necessary is a vibe match. If you think your child's preschool might be interested in working with me, send me their email address and I'll do the rest! The school doesn't pay me anything, as I sell photos to the parents.

35mm!!! I’m so sorry I keep going so long without posting. I am actually probably more in love with my job than I have ever been before. I feel like I’ve been able to integrate my full self with my art and I’m feeling so truly inspired by photography. It made me painfully aware that I didn’t even believe it was possible for me to be inspired by photography, until it organically happened. Anyway! If we haven’t booked a session in a while, let’s do it!! Here are some absolutely gorgeous maternity photos I got to shoot on 35mm. I’d love to integrate 35mm into my sessions more. I have digitals of this session as well but I’m just so pleased with how these turned out. There’s just something special about film. It’s like a co-creation. 🥹

They are truly angels on earth, and I've been lucky enough to photograph some of their artists' work and a couple of their art openings. And they offered to let me use their space for a day, for the second year in a row! It's at Canopy on Springdale Rd. (Canopy is a really cool development with lots of art and some coffee/food options--lots to see while you're there). I'm doing these ON Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. These 10-minute shoots will be booked every 20 minutes to make sure we don't feel rushed. I use my hand-painted canvas backdrop and the resulting edited images (around 10 per shoot) are black-and-white. Text me at 281-639-8614 for fastest booking. The slots are first-come-first-served, and the early ones go first. Bring your kids! Bring your sister! Bring your mom! Hope to see you on Mother's Day.
