One thing I wish more couples knew is that “candid” photography actually requires some intentional planning behind the scenes.
Because I can’t photograph you laughing with your friends during cocktail hour if you’re spending the entire thing taking photos somewhere else. 🙈
I can’t photograph the random conversation with your grandmom if every open minute of your reception has another activity scheduled....
And I can’t photograph you naturally interacting with each other if you’re constantly wondering what you’re supposed to be doing for the camera.
THIS is why the experience your photographer creates matters just as much as how they edit their photos.
For our couples, that means:
✨ We build timelines that get the photos we need efficiently so we can give you BACK to your people.
✨ We give enough direction during portraits that you never have to wonder what to do, without turning the entire thing into a photo shoot.
✨ We learn who your people are beforehand so when something is happening across the room, we already know where to look.
Because I promise, the best candid photos aren’t usually created by asking you to “act candid.” They’re created when you’re actually doing the things you wanted to remember in the first place!
Here is your reminder: you don’t need to choose between gorgeous photos and being present for your wedding.
The way we photograph it gives you room for both! 🤍
If this is how you want your wedding to feel, comment “ME” and I’ll send you more about the KAP wedding experience!
