I’m currently out of the studio and off exploring Ireland until September 8th 🇮🇪✨ I’ll be taking some much-needed time to enjoy the adventure.

I’ll have limited access to messages while I’m away, but I’ll be back in the studio and catching up with yall as soon as I return.

This anniversary session felt like a lil film. A story that says, “look at us now, better than ever, choosing each other again and again, and still growing in this life together.” Oh and as a bonus they’re just like the most adorable, sweetest couple ever.

So dress up. Chase the light. Make a whole dang evening of it. Let it feel a little cinematic.

Because your story doesn’t stop at “I do.” It keeps getting better. An anniversary isn’t about the proof that you’re in love. It’s about remembering how it feels to be.

It’s that time of year where things are non-stop! A session (if not multiple) everyday! Which means I can’t find the time to show everyone what I’ve been up to. With all that said I can’t be more grateful for how many seniors, couples, families, you name it, have trusted me with their big moments. I keep reminding myself to slow down and enjoy every moment of it, like this senior session when we chased butterflies for a while.

A love like a walk in the park 🌞

Fun fact! 99.9% of the people I meet with are not models. I don’t expect you to be. In most cases I expect this to be your first professional shoot. I expect some hesitation, a lil nerves.

Because it’s a strange thing, isn’t it?

To meet a stranger and hand them something so deeply yours.

Knowing that this moment is so special in your timeline. You deeply desire it to be felt and remembered fully but don’t have the slightest clue on what that looks like visually.

You know exactly how much you love each other.

You just don’t know what that looks like from the outside.

“How will I - we - be seen?”

A natural conversation to be had no doubt.

But the best part is, you don’t have to know.

(Enter Sara on the podium)

Because love isn’t a performance. You don’t have to become someone more photogenic or more confident or more comfortable in front of a camera. Don’t smooth out the edges or polish to perfection to turn this into a version of what you think love is supposed to look like.

Just arrive!

A little nervous. A little awkward. Completely in love. Maybe with a cute outfit on or something.

I’ll meet you there, and we’ll turn out something real good. I’m sure of it.

Don’t think of it as a photoshoot. But a memory in the making. A place you can return to.

What photographing a family for 5 years looks like.

Watching these photos come together reminds me just how quickly life changes. New milestones, a new little sister, and so many moments that are easy to miss while you’re living them. Some moments we intentionally recreated, and some just happened to align over the years. Life imitates art, as they say.

When you return to the same photographer each year, you’re not starting over. There’s already trust, shared memories, and an understanding of your family. That comfort shows in the photos. The people who work with me aren’t just “clients”. I strive to dive deeper, truly see you, and create life-long connections.

When I’m taking photos, I’m never after perfection. It’s just not…real. I lead with beauty, the human kind. I always look for where to fall in love.

That’s why I offer a roll of 35mm film as an add-on to any session. While your digital gallery captures every laugh, hug, and fleeting expression, film brings something different. I don’t what the words are, but it’s kind of images that feel like they’ve existed since your story began.

And there’s something beautiful about not seeing every frame instantly. A practice in trusting the process. About knowing each click of the shutter mattered.

If you’ve ever looked at an old photograph and felt your heart squeeze. Felt like you’re being transported back to that exact moment. That’s it. That’s the magic of film.

It isn’t about replacing digital. It’s about giving your memories another language to exist in.
