Would you believe me if I told you Katie + Matthew’s wedding took place in a backyard? Probably not, because it looks gorgeous! 😍

Between the mountain views, the old barn, the farmhouse, and the antiques they used as decor, their day had such a classy country feel to it. I’m calling it “refined rustic.” 😉 The guys wore cowboy boots, the bridesmaids were in blue, Matt put his hat back on immediately after the ceremony (as he should 😂), and we ended the night with the prettiest little sunset before everyone danced the night away.

Backyard weddings really do have a charm all their own, and I’m loving how these photos are coming together!

Erica and Bradley decided to treat us to a photographer’s dream session. It doesn’t get more magical than running around in millions of tulips! We had so much fun with these two (and I got some photos of myself that I’ll have to share at some point)!

Bradley proposed to Erica in the same tulip field almost exactly a year to the date of our engagement session, so having the opportunity to do their engagement photos there added so much sweetness! We love when couples choose a sentimental place, and it’s always a perk when it comes with flowers! 💐

Had to work really hard to cram all these photos in one post because 😍😍😍!! Richelle and Thomas had the sweetest wedding! Their vision came together so beautifully, I don’t even know where to begin, so I’ll share some of the highlights!

The flowers. 💐 The girls made the most gorgeous bouquets and arrangements! You would have thought they were professionally done! The colors blended perfectly with the bridesmaids dresses, and brought so much life to the day.

The pets. 🐾 Thomas and Richelle’s goldens, Maisie and Romey, made several appearances throughout the day for some photo ops and time on the dance floor. Their cat, Sparrow, was featured on custom stickers on the cups!

The first dance. 🪩 Richelle and Thomas had a magical moment after their first dance as newlyweds when the bridal party joined in a circle around them for a special slow dance to Taylor Swift’s “Lover.”

You could tell their wedding was a reflection of them and that’s exactly why their day was full of joy and special moments! We are so lucky we got to witness and document their day. 🤍

We ended April with our first out of state wedding! We spent the day in Pennsylvania celebrating these two sweethearts. They picked the perfect place to get married. With steady rain all day, we had the perfect indoor spaces for dreamy and bright photos! We even found a space with some plants, because you know I love my greenery!

We brought Tuscany to Harrisonburg and it was a night we’ll never forget! A day filled with a fantastic coming together of local vendors to create magic and a night filled with laughter, dancing, and plenty of gelato. 🍨 🕺🏼
