I have put off writing this post for a long time now, because I never seem to have the time to actually think about it. In January, I am going to start working from home in Broadway. NOT RETIRING as some people thought. Far from it. I sold the building downtown and will close with the new owners sometime in January. There are SO many reasons for this decision and it wasn't an easy one, but I just want less responsibility in my life. My husband and I built a studio at my house and are now working on our office!! It's beautiful! Although I have NO idea where I'm going to put all the things that I need to come with us. Reasons for this decision are many. Taxes, insurance, upkeep, maintenance, headaches and basically being tied down to this area ALL the time, because I have 3 apartments above the store and have managed them myself. I will still be doing all the things that I have always done, I just won't have the storefront to deal with anymore. Most of what I do is off site anyway. This was the hardest decision in my life by far, but I feel really good about it and I'm pretty sure my stress level will decrease. Although I will miss coming to this building everyday, because of so many memories here, but my memories will remain in my heart forever. SO, you will need to come to Broadway to see me after mid January! I am finally excited about this decision, although I dread the move!
