Lately, I've been feeling really emotional about photography.
Maybe it's because I've been looking back through old photos and finally seeing growth that I couldn't see while I was in the middle of it. Maybe it's because I know how many times I've questioned myself, compared myself to others, or wondered if I was ever going to be good enough.
But tonight, I just feel grateful.
Photography has been such a journey for me.
There were times I had no idea what I was doing. Times I looked at other photographers and thought, I'll never be that good. Times when I questioned my editing, my creativity, my ideas... all of it.
But I kept picking up my camera.
I kept learning.
I kept trying.
And somewhere along the way, I started becoming the photographer I used to hope I could be.
I'm still learning. I'm still growing. I still have moments where I doubt myself, and I still have so many dreams and things I want to create.
But when I look back, I realize something important.
I am not where I started.
And maybe I don't give myself enough credit for that.
Photography has taught me to slow down and notice the beauty around me. To chase the light, pull over for wildflowers, and appreciate the little moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
I'm so grateful for every person who has supported me along the way. Every person who has booked a session, shared my work, encouraged me, or believed in me when I wasn't completely sure I believed in myself.
Thank you.
Truly.
I don't know exactly where this journey will take me, but I know I'm not done yet.
There is still so much beauty to find, so much to learn, and so many moments waiting to be captured.
And for the first time, I think I'm learning how to be proud of where I am while still dreaming about where I'm going.
Maybe I've been doing better than I thought. 🤍🌞📷
