I'm Krista Scarlavai and it would be such an honor to document your wedding story. I'm a mother of two boys, wife, lover of all things Star Wars, board game enthusiast, collector of antiques and always up for a new adventure. My wedding photography career began at age 16, but really took off in 2009 when I moved to Chicago, where I shot weddings for 13 years. I recently moved back to
Indianapolis and can't wait to explore Indiana's wedding scene (whoo whoo, I'm a Hoosier again). My goal as a wedding photographer is to use my creativity to represent you as couple in the most authentic way possible, so that you can relive those memories for years to come. It's so important that you are able to soak up every moment and not be concerned with a strict and drawn out photography timeline. I want you to remember your wedding as just that, a wedding and not a huge photo production. Finding and utilizing light is one of my favorite things to do. I believe that lighting is where all the magic happens when creating a beautiful photo. I am always looking for light, lines, framing and contrast to create works of art you can hang on your wall, but the most essential thing I look to capture is feeling. All of the excitement, love and happiness that takes place on your wedding day is just as much or more important than capturing an aesthetically pleasing image.
