Just got back from SYNC (Senior Youth National Conference) and I’m fired up in the best way.
I go every year to push my creativity, sharpen my craft, and get around a community that makes you want to create at a higher level.
This year’s image competition was a big one for me:
- 4 for 4 with all images scoring 80+
- "Ice Princess" made the Seasons Gallery
- "Art In Motion" made the best of Gallery
- “Winds of Change” landed in the Top 10 with a 98, It won 2nd place in High School Senior Indoor...and then out of 850+ images… it was awarded Best of Show 🤯
What I love about this is it lines up with why I photograph seniors in the first place: turning who they are into artwork. Not just a nice photo, but something with personality, story, and feeling. The goal is always to create images that make you stop for a second and really see them.
Now I’m back home, loaded with ideas, and ready to create with my seniors this season...bring on Class of 2027!!
