Sneak peek at Kim and Bob's wedding at Old Tabor Church and Crescent Ballroom at Stubborn Brothers Brewery in Shawano! We'd never heard of the little white church before, but it was so beautiful and the founders were very welcoming. Stubborn Brothers is always the best to work with, with the friendliest staff, such a joy to be there!

Congratulations to Kim and Bob, who were smiling and laughing throughout their entire day, clearly just so happy to be celebrating together!

Sneak peek from the Butler Family's session up in Door County. Brian and Megan live up in Sturgeon Bay and the rest of the family gathered together from across the country to be together for the week. They spent time playing tourist and enjoying one another's company, but they also set aside an evening for updated family photos, which was absolutely necessary with four under four, growing up every minute!

Michelle and Mallory had a very original request, senior photos in the Brown County Courthouse rotunda. Mallorie just loves the classic, timeless architecture and envisioned a session that put that at the forefront for classic images.

We also love a timeless session, and have photographed elopements there previously so we were well prepared for the challenging light and of course, harnessing all the drama of the stairs. We hope Mallorie and Michelle love these as much as we do!

This was truly a race-the-rain sort of session! Over the years of being an outdoor, on location photographer, I've become a bit of an obsessive weather-checker. I think it just comes with the job. Usually I have a pretty good inkling about if the session should be rescheduled or if we should give it a shot.

For this session Hilleary and her family were traveling into Door County and had a short window, so rescheduling would be tough. The weather was truly 50/50 on if we would be caught in a downpour. Even though I truly wasn't sure how it would go, we decided to give it a shot and work quickly since this was the best day for scheduling. Luckily, our gamble paid off! What fun to spend our evening with this lovely family and the giggliest little boys!

We were entrusted with documenting PenArt's annual Plein Air Festival this month, where artists from all over flock to Door County to capture the natural landscape outdoors, in all kinds of weather. And weather there was! Rain, sun, wildfire smoke, and strong winds are all documented within this group of paintings.

It was so amazing to walk past a painter and return 20 minutes later to see a canvas transformed! What an inspiring group of artists.
