Sneak peek at Sophie and Chun's family photos! This family had a wonderful vision for their session including traditional Vietnamese clothing and doing half the session at their home and the other half at their Green Bay restaurant.

It was so fun working in a variety of lighting conditions with unique murals and furniture as well as beautiful, intricate clothing!

Gordon Lodge is such a dreamy place to get married! I love the nostalgia that's associated with it, the little cottages, the rocky shoreline, the group hang areas. Jennifer and Joe planned their intimate wedding for the Boat House at Gordon Lodge. It's the perfect venue for a tiny celebration. But small doesn't mean less glamorous, in fact, for their wedding it was the opposite.

Jennifer got ready in the bridal suite cottage then staff drove us out to the woods for their first look. It was gorgeous, a tucked away space with a carpet of green moss stretching out in every direction. After a few moments of quiet together, we drove around the corner to Cana Island Lighthouse and walked out to the island for photos.

Returning back it was time for their ceremony overlooking Lake Michigan. We loved how personal the officiant made everything, and it was so nice to see all five of their boys dressed up, the youngest one in charge of the readings. In one of my favorite wedding moments, the couple passed their rings through the hands of every guest giving them a chance to add their prayers and wishes to the couple before they were exchanged.

Back in the Boat House it was cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by a lovely dinner, sunset photos, and a first dance in front of the water just as twilight hit. Such a unique and wonderful wedding to be a part of! Congratulations, Jennifer and Joe!

You may remember Ava's sneak peek from her summer session a few months ago. Ava booked what we call a Season Split where we do half the session in one season and the other half in another season.

This gives seniors the ability to have two very different looks to their session with a major season shift, outfit change, and even hair change. I love the deep moody fall look here and how it makes her hair and skin glow!

Congratulations to Zach on his senior year! He wasn't thrilled about having his senior photos done, but we kept the session short and sweet, hiking around and getting a few photos with his dogs. Sometimes that's all you need.

It's the most wonderful family photo time of the year! Fall color!

Last fall Samantha booked her first session with us after following our page for awhile. They loved the experience and we loved getting to know them as a family! This year they decided to gift a session to Grandma to get updated photos for her wall with their little doll of a son. I love getting to capture fall magic like this.

Sneak peek from Chloe's Door County fall color senior session! This dress is a perfect match for the season and Chloe brought along books, music, and ballet slippers to keep things personal (as well as a super cute furry friend!)

November means lots of editing on my plate, but I kind of love that it means I get to look at these deep orange leaves for a few weeks longer!

I love when seniors choose locations that are personal to them. For Sophia's session, we started the photos in Green Bay, then moved out to their farm in Abrams. We wandered through the woods, the fields, and met baby goats and barn cats. These photos were the last couple that wrapped up the session and I just love the texture the old tractor adds and how the colors compliment the changing of the leaves.

Gina and Paul spent their honeymoon in Door County last year. This fall Gina planned an getaway (including a photo session with us!) to surprise Paul for their anniversary! When they visited last year they took the Lighthouse Tour with Door County Trolly and fell in love with Cana Island Lighthouse. Cana Island has nostalgic memories for me so I was extra excited to return for this session!

The day was crisp and breezy as we walked out across the causeway. Gina chose the perfect fall outfits to match the changing season. We did photos in the evergreens, along the rocky waterfront, and of course, in front of the lighthouse. Happy anniversary, Gina and Paul! Thanks for celebrating with us!
