The weather forced us to cancel last week when we had weather alerts for severe thunderstorms. Tonight it sprinkled on the way there and towards the end of our session too but the lighting was AMAZING and we got some handsome senior images for Wyatt! Thanks for rolling with it Wyatt!

When I was little, I just KNEW I was going to be a doctor. I wanted to help people feel better.

Then in middle school I took my first photography course and was hooked. I loved capturing beauty....

Graduating High School I contemplated going to school for photography but there were not photography careers other than National Geographic and Sears Family Portraits!!! I decided I would combine my love with photography with medicine and studied Biomedical Photography. This was not a good fit... I had a friend in the Hospitality Program and I thought well... that looks creative, allowed for travel and I could do that as well as photography on the side...

Bachelor's degree in Hotel Restaurant followed by Culinary School led to a life of Hospitality for 10 years. Running hotels, Bed and Breakfasts and the sorts was fun!

Motherhood then entered my life...After my two boys were born and my friends saw the images I was capturing of them they encouraged me to start a portrait business! I left the hospitality business and weddings were my first business! Loved them! Also loved getting out of them! We wanted another baby and since I was booking over a year out I knew I had to be done as I would not put my body through the stress of a wedding while being pregnant. My portrait studio had picked up enough business by that point and here we are!

Bo***ir photography however was the true aha moment in my life... eight years ago when starting bo***ir photography I realized I had finally found my niche. I am teaching women to love their bodies just as they are!! I always wanted to teach, wanted to help and wanted to create art. Well that is exactly where I am now and I feel so blessed!!!

A successful business owner, proud mother of two daughters, and grandmother to one lucky grandchild, she continues to live life with purpose and passion. She works out three times a week, stays actively involved in women's groups, and believes in the power of community, connection, and personal growth.
