Our heartiest congratulations to 7680 Salon member STEVE BOSTWICK who has a one man show at EVERGREEN LIBRARY through the month of OCTOBER. The exhibit is a powerful group of portraits of Denver's homeless people. Steve gets to know each individual and returns to give them print outs of their portraits. Many have never had the opportunity to see a portrait of themselves.

7680 Salon member ALMA MUELLER has a one woman show "DREAMSCAPES" presented at Belmar Library through the month of February. The show is created around the concept that "there are fairy stories to be written for adults" (Andre Breton) Congratulation to Alma!

CLIFF HAWKES, a member of 7680 Salon, was recently voted in as the new and second photography member of the coop gallery, "ARTISTS ON SANTA FE GALLERY AND STUDIOS". Selections of his photographs are on display. The Gallery includes paintings, ceramics, photography, jewelry, and sculpture. The Gallery is at 747 Santa Fe Drive, Denver. Hours are Mon-Fri: 10 am - 5 pm and Sat 10 am - 4 pm. Artists on Santa Fe Gallery and Studios is open for FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK ON SANTA FE the FIRST AND THIRD FRIDAYS of every month. Congratulation to 7680 Salon member ALMA MUELLER for her one person show DREAMSCAPES presented at EVERGREEN LIBRARY during the month of DECEMBER. The grouping embodies Andre Breton's saying: "THERE ARE FAIRY STORIES TO BE WRITTEN FOR ADULTS". Her images meld nature with imagination when composing still life images created in camera without use of Photoshop type manipulation.

Congratulations to 7680 Salon member BECKY CHAPMAN for her one woman show presenting18 images from her series "FOREST DREAMS". Her show is presented at MOUNT VERNON CANYON CLUB through November and December.

The 7680 SALON presents its third group show "RIDDLE ME A RIDDLE" at the GOLDEN LIBRARY through October 13. Gertrude Stein's quote "WHAT IS THE ANSWER?... THEN, WHAT IS THE QUESTION?" begins the unraveling of the riddles which encourage the viewer to ask their own questions about each image and what it means to them. Additionally, the group added Francoise Sagan's quote "ART MUST TAKE REALITY BY SURPRISE", with the additional information that "all images were captured in camera, no photoshop trickery employed", since so many viewers have decided many of the images were photoshopped. Reality most certainly can be found to be misleading and confusing, and also beautiful, when seen through the factual lens of the camera.
