Tonight kicked off mini session insanity. And while I sat in the grass and waited for a client that was running behind, I noticed this couple that was running after a darling little girl, perfectly dressed for photos… She was definitely a little spitfire. She came right up to me and looked at my chicken The parents were chasing her down for a quick family photo. I asked where their photographer was because they were perfectly coordinated. The mom mentioned that it was her birthday and they were just trying to pin this little one down for a photo… she mentioned that her and her husband had just turned 50 and all they wanted was to have a family. Her mom had just passed, leaving them some money which they used for a surrogate in the Ukraine…..unfortunately, it was right when the war had started. This couple had a surrogate that went from hospital to hospital being bombed and was unable to leave the country. They ended up having to skip around from country to country to pick up this baby and get her out. And then while traveling home with a seven day old, they were stopped in a train station because it was hit with a Russian drone and several air strikes. They had to find safety in a bomb shelter for several days with their newborn to wait for the attacks to subside. They were finally able to get on a plane somewhere in Poland and get back to the United States with this sweet little girl who will turn 2 on Christmas eve… Her grandmother‘s favorite day of the year. What a story 💕💕 I was honored to take a few quick pics for them today. You know when God just puts you in those places at just the right time?

I had the pleasure of being my son's team photographer for the Golden Eagles this year! What a weekend for Homecoming football in true Chicago form. Cloudy cool and misty. Golden Eagles go ALL OUT for this game, wow! Our boys took the win 12-6🏈🏈

When this family showed up and said ALL AMARA DOES IS SMILE and then we work HARD and start blasting Pink Pony Club for an hour to get smiles and "nothing works" or does it? (wink wink) She also reminds me of my little lady when she was a babe! Look at all that LOOOOOVE 🥰
