Oh Mother’s Day. It’s always been such a loaded day for me. Not having a mother of my own to celebrate, reminders of years I was going through a loss and grieving the babies I dreamed of raising vs feeling like the luckiest person alive to have three beautiful healthy children here to love. It’s a pendulum swing. This year I’m on a mission to make it about ME and what brings me joy. So I asked my kids to pick an activity they like to do with me and over the weekend we will have three separate one v ones. Riley (almost 15) and I: Pilates and lunch date. Tommy (11) and I: Golf and dinner. Dylan (6) and I: “a fancy breakfast” (she legit suggested but I talked her down for something more her style - aka Mickey Mouse pancakes 😂😂😂😂) and Target. On Sunday, I will be celebrating with who has filled the role of ‘mom’ to me my whole life. I am winning this holiday and genuinely so excited 🌸. I hope all you mamas can claim your own as well and choose YOU. You deserve it 🤍
