Boy moms, this one hits a little differently.

I have a senior boy of my own this year, and if you've been following along, you've probably seen him make an appearance on my page a time or two!

So when I tell you I understand how fast these years go, I really do. One minute they're little boys, and the next we're talking graduation and what comes after high school.

And I know senior pictures might not be at the top of your son's priority list, but I promise they don't have to be awkward or uncomfortable. I want him to feel like himself, have some fun, and maybe even admit it wasn't so bad after all!

As a photographer and a mom going through this same season, I know just how much these photos will mean years from now.

So moms, take the pictures. Even if you have to convince him a little.

✨️Senior Spotlight: Ella ✨️

Ella was such a natural in front of the camera! Her free spirit and easygoing personality made her session so much fun. And of course, she brought her dog along, which made it even better!

One of my favorite things about senior sessions is capturing who your child is in this season of life. As parents, we know how quickly these years go by, and before you know it, they're off on their next adventure.

That's why I love incorporating the little things that make them who they are. Whether it's a favorite place, a hobby, or even the family dog, those are the memories you'll love looking back on years from now.

Some moments deserve to last a little longer. ❤️

There's just something about those last few minutes of a senior session when the sun is setting, the light is perfect, and I can't help but say, “Okay, just one more!”

I love capturing these moments because senior year goes by so quickly. Before you know it, they're walking across that stage, and these photographs become memories you'll treasure for years.

Class of 2028 parents! My senior session books officially open January 2nd! I can't wait to start planning another year of beautiful sessions.

Can you name this water fountain? We are so blessed to have so many beautiful places to take pictures right here in La Crosse!

This one has been an iconic photo spot for everything from school dances and weddings to senior pictures. And the scenery here? Some of my absolute favorite!

One of the questions I get all the time:

When should I book my senior pictures?

For the Class of 2028, the answer is sooner than you might think!

After the first of the year is a great time to start reaching out and getting your senior session on the calendar. Summer and fall dates can fill up quickly, and booking early gives us plenty of time to plan a session that feels like you.

So juniors, enjoy the rest of the year but come January, it’s time to start thinking Senior Pictures!
