I have a love/hate relationship with sessions like these...I absolutely adore getting to work with human families and their furry family members! The pets act like kids, the kids act like animals...it's a whole circle of life thing!
Unfortunately, the part I hate is when these sessions are a way to remember the pets who are sick...who are on a timeline that's getting shorter every minute...knowing this family is preparing to say goodbye to their most incredible gift is heartbreaking.
This is one of those times that I always recommend taking the pictures. You haven't showered in 3 days because you're so worried? Take them anyways. Your eyes are red because you keep thinking about what the next month, the next birthday, the next holiday season is going to look like? Take them anyways.
I'd rather you have these memories captured and not want to see them again, than wish you had more pictures with your pets before they leave and not have them. Hug your fur kids a little harder today, friends...I know I am
