Two years ago, I was traveling up the breathtaking stretch of Highway 1 along the coast near Big Sur. I stopped along the side of the road to take what I had hoped to be, an amazing photo of the coastline. Being that I only had the camera on my phone, I felt that I hadn't truly captured what I wanted to express. I started seeking advice from my father, a photography enthusiast who has been a huge
inspiration to me from an early age, and with the staff at Horn Photo about new equipment. With this support and guidance, what started out as a hobby has quickly transformed into a true passion and I found myself wanting to go take photos every opportunity I had. When I first began shooting photos, I focused on landscapes and developing a fantasy style of my own. I was really able to get the fantasy effect I looking for in post editing, I felt I had a real love for what I could bring out in this process. As my skills developed, I started to branch out and step out of my comfort zone. I began to shoot portraits of friends, family members and co-workers to which I incorporated the editing process that I had developed for my landscape photos. Like many of us, I have been a huge Disney fan since I as far back as I can remember so the idea of photographing Disneyland came naturally to me. Today I take great pleasure in trips down to Anaheim, hoping to get something that no one has really seen from my perspective. During the day and some nights you’ll find me rolling around the valley in an American Ambulance. I have been a paramedic in Fresno and Kings Counties for the last 11 years. I have been known to take my camera with me to work where I have been able to capture some of the beautiful sites to be seen around the valley. I also participate in the 501st Legion, a Star Wars costuming club where “the bad guys do good.”
