I met Ms Marie King at an entrepreneurial event and had to invite her to step into my Photo Booth. She was looking fly ya’ll! She shared that she is a custom fashion designer. She founded LoK Fashion Academy & Institute right here in Stafford county teaching adult and youth how to sew, sketch, pattern making, and design their on clothing. I had the pleasure this past weekend of attending their very first Summer Camp Fashion Show.

These talented young designers proudly walked the runway showcasing their own beautiful creations for family and friends—and they showed OUT! Congratulations to Ms King and the entire LoK Fashion Academy team!

Seeing Eric Taylor perform again touched my heart! I already knew the guests at my client’s private dinner were in for a treat. And listen…when Eric’s toes start tipping, GET READY! 😂🎶
He started us off with some gospel and then turned around and dropped Purple Rain 💜 on us! 🔥

Such an amazing talent and an even better experience to witness. Gospel, Prince AND the violin?! Yes, please!

Almost 100 women of The Fredericksburg Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in front of my lens…what an experience!

And a special shoutout to their First VP—an int’l wedding photographer—who trusted me to capture their sisterhood, leadership and legacy.

We wrapped it all up with headshots for the Executive Committee.

There are networking events... and then there’s Power Players: The Rise. What an incredible experience! First of all... Revatone Farm in Spotsylvania is absolutely BEAUTIMOUS!

From the moment we arrived, Dori Roberts Stewart and her team FXBG Neighbors made every detail feel intentional. They created opportunities for us to genuinely connect with one another, treated us to some good ol’ Castiglia's Downtown FXBG , refreshing drinks from the amazing ladies of Love Buzz Mobile Bar, and curated an atmosphere that was welcoming.

The absolutely stunning balloon backdrop by Moore's Balloon Decor was a showstopper, and the beautiful floral décor and interactive fragrance bar by Elevate Designs & Events added the elegant touch. Every detail reflected the care and creativity poured into this event.

The barn was buzzing with energy! Women entrepreneurs were building new relationships, cheering each other on, and making connections. And seeing so many of you step into the Nita Snaps Photo Booth, laugh, pose, and just enjoy the moment... that was my favorite part.

I left with plenty of laughs, a pocket full of new connections—including a couple of fellow photographers and a local studio owner I’m excited to visit this week—and so much appreciation for a community that believes in supporting one another.

This wasn’t just another networking event. It was a reminder that when women intentionally create space for other women to grow, amazing things happen.
