World Cup Round of 32 Paraguay vs. Germany 🇵🇾🇩🇪 ⚽️
What a game!!! This was truly one of the best sporting events I’ve ever been to!
Growing up I never thought of myself as an artist. In my mind you were either an athlete or an artist and since I chose athletics I didn’t think I could be both. The truth is art and athletics are intriscly intertwined and I truly believe every athlete is also an artist in their own right.
Society tries to keep us in boxes to make it easier for us to categorize our selves and our behaviors. It took me until my twenties when I finished college and didn’t know who I was anymore without the title of “athlete” to find this other part of myself that had always been there hiding in the dark. I love sports, I love everything about going to a game, feeling the energy and presence of the crowd and the players, the excitement and tension that radiates throughout the complex. Then combining that with my love for photography, my love of art and capturing the way I uniquely see things, it feels like the greatest gift.
This was such a wonderful day and an amazing reminder of how both athletics and art bring us all together for the better, always ❤️
