Story time!
It was January 29th, the morning of the blizzard of 2022. I had just gotten settled on the couch when I got a call from the mother of a bride whose photographer was no longer able to make it that day due to the storm.
This couple happened to be getting married at venue only 5 minutes away from where I lived, so the bride’s mom asked if there was any possible way I could fill in.
She even offered to have a family member whose car was already dug out come and pick me up (which was quite necessary since my car was very much still buried under a solid 18 inches of snow), so how could I say no?
Little did I know that Samantha & Chris’ blizzard wedding would end up being one of my favorite days of 2022, and that they’d end up being one of my favorite couples ever. There may have been a storm raging outside, but we all saw it as an opportunity to create beautiful, unique art.
As a creative entrepreneur, I’m constantly asked to think about & identify the things that make me different from other photographers. I gotta say, I really feel like my level of dedication to capturing memories for people is a big one.
