This is an example of prompt over pose. We took the very expected group shot sitting in the sofa but this group had energy! I suggested something a little more lively and they were all in. They bursted out in song as their bridal bestie danced.

It was the first time I had ever asked a group to do this - because it felt like them. You can pin a million inspo photos but the best images are going to come from trust.

Personal touches, polished details, and a little bit of cowboy charm—Libby & Jonathan’s rehearsal dinner at Clay Pigeon hit every note.

The Tracy Autem team is busy with multiple weddings this weekend and today we get to kick it off with Megan & Nick! Their rehearsal dinner at The Crescent Hotel last night was the perfect start to this beautiful wedding weekend. We can’t wait to continue the celebration tonight!

“One of the primary benefits of a welcome party is that there really is no limit to the guest count or the activities,” confirms , Owner of Tracy Autem Photography. “It can be formal or relaxed. It can also be come and go, with a much more casual feel than a traditional dinner. That gives you more time to mingle, which means more time to hit the dance floor on your wedding day.”

One of our favorite welcome parties of all time, was this colorful and karaoke filled night at the Renaissance Worthington for Kristen and Matthew designed and planned by Tami Winn Events. The amazing DJ Nate Nelson from LeForce Entertainment was on site to MC and carry out the karaoke fun. This couple met at a karaoke bar, so it was only fitting to welcome their guest to their wedding weekend with this event.

Danielle & Zach’s wedding was a beautiful blend of love, faith, and family legacy.

Their ceremony at the National Shrine Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe was timeless and meaningful, followed by a joyful reception at . Every moment was filled with warmth, connection, and celebration.

This was the second wedding I’ve photographed for Zach’s family, and once again, I was struck by the way both families care for their people—with intention, kindness, and genuine love. Danielle & Zach were calm, joyful, and fully present from start to finish. It was an honor to capture their story.
