Sarah and I became friends over a decade ago, back when I was bartending at the Alibi—when the hotel was still the Vista and the “Vista family” really did feel like a little family. ❤️

I always loved when Sarah’s table was in my section, and if I got cut before they left, there was a pretty good chance I was clocking out and going right back to sit down with them. 😂

There have been a lot of versions of us since then. There was Halloween at Tailgaters, Sarah running around with a tambourine. Then she met Mark, and I got to photograph their perfectly chill little wedding at the Island Park gazebo, followed by a party in the basement of Front Street Taproom.

And then, in 2020, Sarah became a DJ. ✨

One of my favorite things about long friendships is getting to watch people become new versions of themselves. And sometimes when you look backward with everything you know about someone now, you realize that person was actually there the whole time. Like a little diamond that just needed some uncovering. 💎

Sarah has always been kind, open-minded, loving, and someone with a genuinely big heart. And now I get to photograph this version of her, too.

I say it all the time, but I really do feel ridiculously lucky to have so much friendship in my life. Getting older is pretty fu***ng cool when it means getting to grow alongside people you love. ❤️

And if you ever want to visit a place that holds approximately one million memories for me, go have a drink at the Alibi and tell them Cierra sent you. 😂

Some people just make sense together.

Peanut butter + jelly.
Ketchup + mustard.
Willow + Robin. ❤️💛

I mean COME ON. Two giant condiment bottles just sitting there waiting for me at their night-before party??? The universe basically handed me the metaphor.

One of my favorite things to do, whenever I’m able, is show up the night before the wedding.

Not because I need more photos. Because I get to meet everyone.

The best friends. The chosen family. The people who know all the stories and have been loving these two long before I showed up with a camera.

And then the next day, I’m not walking into a wedding full of strangers. I’m walking into a party with people I already know.

Willow + Robin’s people were VERY much no exception. I loved them immediately. I’m now Instagram friends with a suspicious number of them 😂 and I already know this entire crew is going to live in a special little corner of my heart forever.

And this was only the night before.

Their actual wedding????

Just fu***ng wait.

We snuck in this engagement session before the wedding and… that’s all I’m legally allowed to say.

I’m so damn excited I’ll be vibrating at a frequency only dogs can hear until Saturday.

I’M SO STUPIDLY PROUD OF BESTIE KENDALL. ❤️‍🔥

Watching Kendall turn an idea into a whole damn universe has been one of my favorite things. The Clubhouse is already a vibe, and I cannot wait to watch this brand keep getting bigger, louder, weirder, and more iconic.

Kendall is one of those people who makes room for other women while she’s building something incredible herself. A real girl’s girl. The kind of person who says, “Come with me,” instead of, “Good luck.”

I’ve known Mya since 2020, when I photographed her sister Chelsea’s wedding. And ever since then, this family has held such a special place in my heart. 🤍

Jen (Chelsea and Mya’s mom) has trusted me with so many of their milestones over the years — senior photos, prom photos, family photos — and every single time, it feels like catching up with people I genuinely care about. That’s the magic of this job.

On Saturday, I got to photograph Mya and meet her amazing friends, Nikka and Lily, and these girls instantly reminded me of my own high school friendships — laughing nonstop, hyping each other up, and just having the best time together.

The White House Co. was the perfect spot for photos and getting out of that classic North Dakota wind. (Highly recommend booking them for prom pics) The little corridor outside saved the day for some beautiful, protected outdoor photos too.

Girls, thank you for trusting me with your prom memories. Your friendship is as beautiful as you are, and it was such a joy to document this moment in your story. ✨
