I’ve known Anna since she was 26, and getting to watch the last decade of her life unfold has been a gift. Transitioning from Active Duty, to becoming a mother, and watching her pursue her dream of becoming a photographer, it’s been special to witness each chapter. Watching someone you care about grow into exactly who they’re meant to be is a beautiful thing, and she should be so proud of all she’s built along the way.

I usually stick to a strict “three sneak peeks” rule, but not this time. Alena and Brad weren’t just effortlessly beautiful, they also brought such a fun and easy energy to every moment we captured.

This shoot was everything you imagine when you think of DC at its most aesthetic: timeless architecture woven together with quiet, peaceful corners of the city. Pure magic from start to finish.

Rest in Peace to Peter Schammer, who fought so incredibly hard during the years cancer consumed his life. He was deeply loved by his daughters and family members. It was an honor to have met you, and to have captured your images, once-upon-a-time.

People often think professional photography is simply aesthetics, but sometimes, it becomes something far more permanent. A single image can outlive a moment, a voice, even a lifetime… and suddenly, it’s no longer just a photo. Your photos are memories, legacies, and proof that someone was here and deeply loved.

In the end, photographs are what we hold onto when everything else fades.
