Not the pose. The half second after it, when they forget I am there and just look at each other like nobody else is around. You cannot direct that into existence. You can only stay close, stay quiet, and be ready when it happens.

That is what documentary-leaning coverage actually means. Less telling you what to do, more catching who you already are.

Slow down. This day goes so fast.

Every couple tells me the exact same thing after their wedding. It went by in a blur. That is precisely why I shoot the way I do. Cinematic, unhurried, catching the quiet in between moments alongside the big ones, so you can go back and actually feel the day again instead of just remembering that it happened.

There is something about film that digital just cannot fake.

Grain. Soft rolled off highlights. Colors that feel like a memory instead of a screenshot. I shoot real film alongside digital at weddings because thirty years from now, this is the look that will still feel timeless.

The send off is the last thing that happens and somehow always the most fun.

Sparklers. Everyone you love yelling your name at once. That ten seconds of light and happy chaos right before you disappear into the rest of your life together. Nobody really plans this part and everybody remembers it.

Give me the messy joyful real moments over stiff posing any day of the week.

Proposal photography is the session nobody plans for and everybody wishes they had. The moment itself lasts about four minutes. You will look at those frames for the rest of your life.

You get to be fully present instead of trying to prop a phone against a rock and hoping it stays.

They had their first date at a Waffle House . So that is where we did their engagement photos.

Not every session needs a field at golden hour. Sometimes the most meaningful place in the world is a vinyl booth, questionable fluorescent lighting, and the two of you laughing about something nobody else would get.

That is the whole point. Your photos should look like your life, not a template someone else picked.
