There’s something about getting the whole family back in one place.

The grown kids with families of their own now. Grandparents with the kiddos in their laps. Siblings falling right back into being siblings. Little ones running around somewhere in the middle of all of it.

As summer starts to wrap up, I’m finally catching up on galleries—and getting to sneak back into some of the sessions I photographed just for me.

This one was from on the North Shore and it felt like summer in all the best ways. Bare feet, kids running everywhere, 70’s music playing, a VW bus by the water, and all the beautifully unplanned moments happening in between.

But then you start noticing all the little things between them. A hand on a cheek. Their bodies naturally curling toward each other. The way they can be completely different and still look like they belong right there, side by side.

created so much more than a photography retreat. They created a space where we could slow down, create, ask questions, and be surrounded by people who genuinely wanted to see each other succeed.

I came home inspired, recharged, and with a mind full of ideas that will make me a better photographer, business owner, and artist. But beyond the education, I’ll remember the new friendships, the laughter, the encouragement, and the reminder that sometimes stepping away from the daily grind is exactly what you need to move forward.

Thank you for pouring your hearts into every detail, and It was an unforgettable week up north, and I’m so grateful I said yes.
