Today, kids across our district are heading back to the classroom, so it seemed like the perfect day to share a few of my favorites from this year’s Back to School Minis! ❤️

Fresh backpacks, sharpened pencils, new teachers, new friends, and a whole new year of memories waiting to be made. There’s just something so special about capturing them right at the beginning of it all. 🥹

✨ Editing Queue Update! ✨

I’ve had an incredibly busy few weeks (thank you all so much! 🤍), and I’m currently working through galleries in the order sessions were photographed to keep things as fair as possible.

As I finish each gallery, I’ll send it out right away. If your session was after that date, I promise I haven’t forgotten about you. I’m just making my way through the list one gallery at a time.

Some sessions are about more than just photographs, they're about preserving a piece of family history.

Amy reached out to me because her parents' cabin, which has been in the Buch family since 1952, is about to begin a new chapter. What started as a small cabin purchased by her grandparents after years of vacationing in Sayner has been loved, expanded, and filled with memories for 74 years. Amy herself has been coming here for 49 of those years.

Soon, the cabin will be torn down and rebuilt, making these some of the last photographs ever taken with the place that has meant so much to generations of their family.

It was such an honor to help preserve this chapter of their story before the next one begins. ❤️
