Some seniors don’t want a big production — and that’s perfectly okay.

Maybe they hate having their picture taken. Maybe they’re literally counting down the minutes until it’s over. Or maybe they just need a few great images to remember this season of life.

The good news? We don’t need hours to create something meaningful. Sometimes we can be in and out in under 10 minutes and still walk away with a handful of beautiful images that perfectly capture who they are during their senior year.

Not every session has to be a grand adventure. Sometimes simple is exactly right.

Summer days and golden nights

The kind of evening that feels like it should last forever. Giggles, whispered secrets between sisters, warm hugs from Grandma, and the people who make life feel like home.

These are the moments that matter most—the ones tucked between the big milestones and busy schedules. The golden light fades, little ones grow, and seasons change, but photographs let us hold onto these memories just a little longer.

So grateful to have spent this beautiful summer evening with such a sweet family.

Since the day I got my driver’s license, one of my favorite things has been getting in the car and just… driving. No destination. No plan. Just exploring whatever caught my eye.

Years later, not much has changed—except now I call it location scouting.

There is something magical about stumbling across a hidden creek winding through the grass, a forgotten forest road, or a pocket of light that makes you stop in your tracks and imagine all the stories that could be told there.

Finding these little pieces of the Northwoods for my families and couples doesn’t feel like work. It feels like a dream come true.

So if you’ve ever wondered what I’m doing when I disappear down random dirt roads with a camera in my passenger seat… this is it. Chasing beautiful places and collecting possibilities.

I have been keeping a little secret… ❤️

I am beyond excited to share that Wild Roses Photography now has access to a beautiful studio space!

While my heart will always belong to golden fields, winding trails, lake shores, and all the wild places that make the Northwoods so magical, I’m thrilled to now be able to offer an indoor option as well.

This means year-round sessions, a cozy space for little ones, branding sessions, maternity portraits, milestone sessions, headshots, creative projects, and those days when Wisconsin weather simply refuses to cooperate.

More than anything, I’m excited about having another space to create, connect, and tell your stories in a way that feels authentic to you.

I cannot wait to show you more, dream up some fun studio offerings, and create something beautiful together.

Who’s ready for a studio session? ✨

Major overshare? Maybe. But how could I not?

I absolutely adore these humans.

I’ve had the privilege of photographing this sweet family for years now, and getting to watch this darling little boy grow up in front of my camera has been such a gift. But even more than that, I’ve gotten to witness their love grow too.

The way they show up for one another, the way they laugh together, the way they love their little boy so fiercely—it’s the kind of thing that reminds me why I do what I do.

This is so much more than taking pictures. It’s documenting a story as it unfolds, year after year, and I am endlessly grateful when families trust me to be part of it.

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to be sharing some of the incredible families I had the honor of photographing last summer and fall.

Life, business, motherhood, and all the beautiful chaos in between got the best of me, and somehow many of these galleries never made it to my social media feed. But these moments are far too special to sit unseen on my hard drive.

So consider this your warning: there will be a lot of smiling faces, lake sunsets, muddy little feet, belly laughs, tight hugs, and the kind of moments that remind me exactly why I love what I do.

To every family who trusted me to document a piece of your story—thank you. I can’t wait to finally share these memories with the world. ❤️

A little boy, a toy airplane, and a sky full of possibilities.

Somewhere between the mountains, the river, and the setting sun, childhood reminds us that imagination has no limits. The smallest hands often hold the biggest dreams.

These images were created in the heart of the Rockies, but beautiful storytelling sessions aren’t limited by location. Whether it’s the mountains of Colorado, the lakes of the Northwoods, the coast, the desert, or somewhere that holds meaning for your family, I’m always up for an adventure.

I travel nationwide for sessions, so don’t let distance be the reason you don’t reach out. Sometimes the most unforgettable photos happen far from home.

Where would your dream session take place?

✨ LOGO HELP NEEDED ✨

I’ve been working on a refresh of my Wild Roses Photography logo and I’ve narrowed it down to these three options. I’d love some honest feedback from all of you!

🤍Option 1 – Soft and minimal with delicate wild rose details
🌹 Option 2 – Incorporates the camera element while keeping the floral feel
📷 Option 3 – The cleanest and most minimalist version

A few things I’m trying to balance:
• Whimsical & romantic
• Soft feminine feel
• Timeless rather than trendy
• Northwoods meets wildflower vibes
• Works well on my website, business cards, merch, and future projects

Which one feels most like “Wild Roses Photography” to you?
Drop a 1, 2, or 3 in the comments and tell me why!

(And yes, I’m probably overthinking this. 😂)

At a pick-your-own peony farm in Oconto County, those big, beautiful blooms come in all kinds of colors. With 27 varieties, many smell heavenly, too. See link below ⬇️

Cannot wait to deliver this gallery!!! ✨

Rocky Mountain National Park has a way of making me fall in love with photography all over again.

I’ve said it for years, but the goal is still the same: one day I’ll be back home, photographing these mountains full time🏔️❤️ hey a girl can dream… and then work like crazy to make it happen.
