The Phipps family and I met at Coker Arboretum on the UNC Chapel Hill campus for their fall family photos, marking our first time photographing together at this location! Fred Fletcher Park is my go-to location for mini sessions and it was the perfect setting for the King family’s session. Even on busy mornings, this park offers a wide variety of beautiful spots to capture natural, timeless photos in just 15 minutes.

I had the pleasure of photographing the Beaver family for the third year in a row, this time at the North Carolina Museum of Art! This is one of my favorite locations, though it’s so big that for mini sessions I like to focus on a quiet spot near the entrance of the park. The park’s scenery is so versatile that if you didn’t know it was NCMA, it almost feels like a coastal setting down in Wilmington (one of my favorite cities). Despite a chilly morning, this family and their pup were troopers making the session full of smiles.

Exploring OBX 🌊

The beach is my favorite place to be when I’m not home. This was my first time exploring Nags Head and Roanoke and I plan to go back, this time in the Summer. My goal over time is to visit each of the lighthouses!

Baby announcement sessions are a beautiful way to document this season of anticipation and connection before welcoming a little one. Mikaela and Connor are such a sweet and fun couple, and their excitement about becoming parents was evident throughout the session. Congrats to these two and their new little Duke fan!

Caitie and Ben booked their mini session at Jordan Lake Farms this year to capture a few special photos together before his deployment after Christmas, and even in a short session, their playful connection really came through.
