Still looking for a Betsy Ross! 🇺🇸
🇺🇸 Model Call: 250th Anniversary Mini Session Concept Shoot 🇺🇸
Mackinaw, IL area | ASAP
This Memorial Day weekend, we’re thinking about remembrance, legacy, family, and the stories we pass down.
As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, we are planning a special round of patriotic / colonial-inspired children’s mini sessions in June — and we’re looking for one or two children to model for our concept shoot.
We would love to feature a boy and girl, siblings, cousins, or two children from different families to help us bring this idea to life. We are especially hoping to hear from families with children who are:
🇺🇸 Patriot descendants
📜 History-loving kids
🪶 Families connected to Revolutionary War heritage
❤️ Proud Americans who love meaningful, classic portraits
The concept will include colonial-inspired outfits, patriotic colors, and a timeless portrait style that honors both childhood and American heritage.
And yes — some of you may know that Seth is a proud descendant of many Revolutionary War patriots. This is something we’re proud to carry into our work as the 250th anniversary approaches.
We’re also in the middle of quietly bringing more of our photography work together under one roof. Weddings are still weddings. Portraits are still portraits. Seth will still be offering headshots. Nothing major is changing — but a refreshed name and look will be coming soon.
How to enter / apply for the model call:
Comment below or message us with:
1. Your child’s age;
2. Whether they would be comfortable wearing a colonial-inspired costume;
3. Any Revolutionary War / patriot ancestor connection your family knows about;
4. A quick note about why you’d love to be part of this concept shoot;
The selected model family/families will need to travel to the Mackinaw area for the session.
Our full 250th Anniversary Mini Sessions will be available for booking in June. These will be a little more styled than our usual minis to help cover the added costume and setup elements.
More details coming soon — and for the deeper history side of this project, keep an eye on ONSA Travel.
On Memorial Day, we remember the people who gave everything — and we honor the families, stories, and freedoms that continue because of them.
