The Spectrum Tree is a striking 40-foot kinetic sculpture located just outside COSI (the Center of Science and Industry) in the adjacent Dorrian Green park.

Created by artist William Wainwright, this iconic Columbus art piece was originally installed at COSI in 1991.

The Concept: The sculpture is dedicated to Sir Isaac Newton’s discovery that sunlight contains the entire visible spectrum of colors.
