Welcome to the world, sweet baby Jessi! 🤍

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for his newborn session! The sunlight was pouring through the windows, filling the room with the most gorgeous natural light.

One thing I’ve learned over the years as a photographer is just how much natural light can transform a session. On sunny days, the light creates beautiful highlights, soft shadows, and that bright, airy feeling I absolutely love. On cloudy, gloomy days, the light is much softer and more even, creating a completely different mood. Both can be beautiful, but there’s something extra special about a room filled with sunshine!

And this sweet family made the day even better. Their children were the absolute sweetest, and everything flowed so naturally and effortlessly. No rushing, no pressure, just a family enjoying these precious first days with their newest little love.

These are the moments I love capturing most. The little connections, the cuddles, and the beautiful chaos of family life that one day will become the memories they treasure forever. 🤍

Showing up to a newborn session isn’t just about arriving with my camera and hoping for the best. ☺️🤍

Even when I’m photographing a family in the comfort of their own home, there’s so much planning that happens behind the scenes.

I spend time helping my clients coordinate outfits, choosing colors that complement each other, finding the rooms with the best natural light, and planning poses that feel natural and connected.

Sometimes I spend over an hour preparing before I even step through their front door!

And let me tell you, every minute of preparation is worth it. 🤍

Because when everything comes together and I get to capture the sweetest, most genuine moments of a family with their new little one, I know these are photographs they’ll treasure for a lifetime.

That’s what makes me love what I do so much. It’s never just about taking pictures. It’s about creating memories that will last forever. 🤍

Loving all these in-home family sessions lately! 🤍

I’m slowly but steadily transitioning away from traditional studio newborn photography and embracing more lifestyle sessions in the comfort of my clients’ homes.

There’s something so special about photographing families in their own space, where everyone feels relaxed, connected, and completely themselves. I love capturing the little everyday moments, the genuine interactions, and the beautiful stories that unfold naturally at home.

Because one day, these ordinary moments will become some of the most treasured memories. 🤍

Yes, I do this almost every single day and I LOVE IT. ❤️

Despite the long hours of editing, my arm hurting, the rain, the rescheduling, and never quite knowing what the weather is going to do… I still wake up every day loving what I do.

Photography truly brings me so much joy. I get to capture people, their families, their milestones, and memories they’ll hold onto for years.

I hope to keep doing this for as long as I possibly can until I simply can’t anymore. ☺️📸
