Why is the water in all the rivers brown? And what's the foamy stuff? We do drink this stuff.

The study polk county released said it's mostly farm runoff. The gov says voluntary conservation is working. I've lived here for 30 years and this is normal.

By the way, the nutrient reduct was passed years ago and never funded.

In 2015 waterworks sued the upstream drainage districts and the courts ruled that it was up to the legislature to fix.

And new cancer rates in Iowa are second highest in the nation.

The ag interests along with groups like the farm bureau have a huge influence in the legislature. My money is on the consumers of drinking water will need to pony up to clean the nitrates and more out of our drinking water, not the polluters.

Friday morning on the Break the cycle 200 saw us ride into Adele and a storm that lasted and hour, and then cleared with a Southern wind pushing everyone up to Okoboji. The winds were high enough to ground our arial filming efforts by 1pm.

Woa, that was a lot of miles. Our Christmas trip out west started with gale force winds driving across Nebraska and we caught the front end of the big blizzard in Kansas.

Here are a few of the images from my camera that doesn't have the Internet on it. After a few weeks of warm temps, I think it's time to leave this freezer were living in!
