I haven't been posting very much but I've had the most adorable, charismatic, smart, fun and beautiful 2026 seniors. I've got a lot of catching up to do, but I'm starting with Sydney. She's was as fun to shoot as she seems. The absolute cutest.

P.S. I love when the girls convince the moms to jump in. Just the loveliest moments.

I took Blake and Sadie's engagement photos, recently. I just wanted to tell everyone that walked by us, "This is MY DAUGHTER!" Like, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?
After years and years of shooting other people's daughters, I was finally photographing my daughter's engagement photos. My firstborn. My little baby that led me to start shooting weddings full time so that I could stay home with her during the week. The toddler who cried at the door when Paige and I would leave to shoot weddings every weekend. I could not believe that it was her turn.
There are thousands of photos to choose from and I am sure that I will share more, but this is the one that jumped out at me while backing them up, today. It's not perfect. It's not posed. There were a few shots right before this one that are technically better—more centered, better composed.
But this one.
It's a fleeting, raw glimpse at her happiness as she rushes out of my frame and into her own.
I love you Blake for making her so happy and I can't wait to welcome you into our family. And I love you so much, Sadie Jay. You are a piece of my soul.

Mali is my first senior graduating this year! She is graduating this month from Northwest High School and headed to Ames.
Mali did a blooms mini shoot in the spring and then a studio session and full session in the summer.
Her shoot is such a good example of how I try to shoot for everyone. I encourage every family to come in for a pre-shoot meeting and then try to make sure that we get the shots that the parents love, the perfectly posed smiling photo for grandparents, a lot of fun and artsy photos for the senior and plenty of images that show the spirit and character that make every beautiful person unique.
Mali, you are full of light and faith and beauty. I am so excited to see all that you have in store for your future. Thank you for letting me be a part of your senior year!
