Happy 30th Birthday to the one and only Megan Willman | Photographer! It’s a little wild that I met you when you were 19…😆

Megan is living her best life as mother of two, at home on maternity leave with her precious new baby boy, Carson, born 9.16.26. He husband Tim describes her as “much more cheerful and patient during the 4am wake ups” then he is, and we wouldn’t expect anything different. Megan was born to be a momma.

Amanda Arnold and I went to meet Carson last week and as can confirm, he is bright eyed and deliciously squishy. Swipe to see photos of cutie Carson and our visit❤️

Sometimes shooting on location > shooting in my beloved studio. There, I said it. 😆

I love my studio. I highly recommend everyone pay the space a visit and get their headshots done there at least once (okay, maybe more than once). But sometimes my clients have super cool, well-lit spaces that serve their mission better than my studio ever could.

The lobby at Koch & Carlisle Plastic Surgery & Spa is one of those magical places. I love the light, the color of the space, and all the warm, wonderful people I get to interact with when I show up on-site.

10/10 would recommend coming to them any day over having their busy staff make the journey to me.

If you have a busy staff and a well-lit area you think would be good for on-site photos, reach out. More often than not, we can turn just about any space into a well-lit studio.

People often ask me if I’m afraid of what AI will do to my photography business.

My answer is always the same: AI will never create the feeling, the nostalgia, the connection, or the moment that happens between humans.

Humans will always want to be seen, witnessed, cared for, and surrounded by other humans.

There are things I genuinely love about AI innovation. But I actually believe human-to-human connection will become paramount in the years ahead.

As we start questioning what’s real and what’s generated, photography (what it captures, what it creates, and who does it really well) may matter more than ever.
