I’ve finally gotten a couple of shots of Little Blue Herons taken recently! The first is an immature LBH, the second is one a little further along in maturity, and the last one an adult.

A variety of birds from the past month fro different spots. The first a lonely Ibis coming in for a landing. The second a Cattle Egret in process of landing on a branch. And the third….the only Blue I’ve captured this year in S. Florida this year. They have been scarce. We’re in a very “dry” season for birds. I’ve not seen more than a handful of birds in past 2 weeks at spots that are usually beginning to have some migration. It rarely hits heavy until late September and October, but this is the slowest I’ve seen it in my 9 years in SFL.
