A bright orange butterfly visited some backyard flowers in search of pollen. It's a perfect color for the Sunshine State.
It is commonly called the Julia Butterfly. The scientific name is Dryas iulia. It's a very fast flier, which made it difficult to capture it on my camera.

Backyard visitor from a couple of days ago. Not sure what species of owl this is. It could be Burrowing Owl, or Barred Owl... or something else.
Took this photo at dusk, so light was limited. I was hoping to get a better photo in better conditions, but it appears this young owl has flown away.
