And finally, group 4 of my Door County photos of the past week...never saw a Merlin before, the colors are just starting to turn on a few trees and a sunrise so pretty, I didn't want to leave! Fortunately, I get to come back Monday and take a watercolor class at the Peninsula School of Art Tues-Thurs!!

Yesterday's 3.6 mile hike was through the Rollins Savannah Forest Preserve in Grayslake. There was a storm rolling in and although there were plenty of goldfinches, the variety of birds was minimal at best. But the lighting was cool and made for a great backdrop to all the yellow wildflowers in bloom. Here's what I mean...
