I promised I would tell you Buddy's story.
Before he became the goofy, cuddly bulldog who follows me from room to room and melts into every snuggle, Buddy was fighting for his life.
Buddy was found wandering the streets of Texas with a neck injury. When someone tried to help, a tragic accident led to him being attacked by other dogs, leaving him with devastating wounds. His injuries went untreated until rescue was finally called when his wounds became severely infected.
And somehow… after everything he endured, Buddy still chooses love.
As his foster, I get to see who he truly is every single day. He is gentle with people, wonderful with kids, walks beautifully on a leash, and wants nothing more than to be close to his humans. He is a giant, squishy, lovable derp with the biggest heart.
His body has healed. His spirit has remained unbroken.
Like many survivors of trauma, Buddy still has some emotional healing to do and would thrive in a home that understands his needs, ideally as an only pet where he can continue to feel safe and cherished.
After everything this boy has survived, we know his happy ending is out there.
